Tsuge Pipes, Ikebana division (Tokyo)

Fukuda-san, who visited Denmark with Smio Satou in 1977, still presides over the making of Tsuge Ikebana pipes.  Former Ikebana-maker, Kei Gotoh, visits with his old mentor.

Fukuda-san uses small, rounded sanding disks to shape Ikebanas.  I don't know if this style is unique to Tsuge, but I haven't seen such "padded" wheels in other workshops I've visited.
