Elephant's Foot with Bamboo

NOTES:  The bowl shows great flexibility of line and fluidity of form, quite a challenge given the straightness of the bamboo and the upright angle of the shank.  It was an education to watch as Teddy softened the sharp edges of the rough-cut bowl with his Dremel.

Teddy decided to screw in the bamboo to the shank ... as well as glue it.  Much extra time required.

The ivory "white dot" was a last-minute addition;   it was suggested by the perfect placement of the flaw, that appeared during final sanding (after I had left Århus).

This pipe reminds me strongly of Teddy's earlier "Swimming Elephant's Foot."
