Another Toku-Teddy collaboration

Making a stamp for Teddy's "Samurai helmet"

 

Teddy's "Samurai Helmet" (spring 2008)

Teddy decided to cover a small flaw with a circle of ivory and suggested that Toku inscribe something in Japanese characters.  Teddy suggested "Tom," I suggested "Teddy" or "eagle."  Toku said "eagle" would be too large (four characters) so we went with "Teddy"

NOTE:  The instrument above is a steel-body slide guitar, one of a number of guitars and mandolins that Toku has around his workshop.
