NOTES ON THE ORIGINS OF GIANT MANTA AND HORN - 5

and Giant Manta (SPC 484)

I find a fascinating coincidence between the overall outline of these pipes (an ellipse that is pointed at each end.  Notwithstanding a surface break in some lines (along the top of 484 and the bottom of 478) the "implied space" in each pipe easily completes the arcs.  And the curves of these ellipses seem roughly the same in each piece.
