Cavalier origins?? ...

I don't mean this as a serious idea. ... On the other hand, one of the compositional themes in the following (traditional) subject seems to involve a figure balancing  (elegantly) on one foot.  And in Toku's Cavaliers, we find him making pipes in which complex forms balance ... Hmm...  Maybe the connection is not so far-fetched?  ...
